Easter visit
Mark your diary for Passion week
With Christmas behind us, we now look forward to the Easter experience. Holyland Kenya is the place to mark your Dady to visit.Â
Imagine what it would be like to celebrate Holy Week and Easter in The upper room.
Have you ever wondered the depth of the emotions you would feel if you were to read the passage from Mathew 26: "And whilst they were at supper, Jesus took bread and blessed and broke and gave to his disciples and said: Take and eat. This is my body. And taking the chalice, he gave thanks and gave to them, saying: Drink all of this. For this is my blood…" while standing in the Cenacle (Upper Room)?Â
What would it be like to stand at the very site Jesus went to on the night of his betrayal? “Then Jesus came with them into a country place which is called Gethsemani. And he said to his disciples: Sit you here, till I go yonder and pray." (Mathew 26: 36)?Â
Pilgrims often describe walking the Via Dolorosa as the highlight of their pilgrimage to the Holy Land. Step by step, station by station, you travel the path walked by Jesus to Calvary: "And when they had come to the place which is called Calvary, they crucified him there: and the robbers, one on the right hand, and the other on the left" (Luke 23:33).Â
Then you can walk a difficult part of the journey with his body to the burial place."They took therefore the body of Jesus and bound it in linen cloths, with the spices, as the manner of the Jews is to bury." (John 19:40). And then on Sunday morning, you are in front of the empty Tomb, the place of his post resurrection appearance. This is a place of great priority to visit, a true life-changing experience.
